Global Weather

The four seasons don’t happen at the same time for all parts of the world. In the Northern Hemisphere, winter occurs from December to March. In the Southern Hemisphere, December to March is summertime.

In the Western Hemisphere, we experience hurricanes. In the Eastern Hemisphere, people experience typhoons instead of hurricanes.

While we were on our trip above the Equator, it was summer. Below the Equator, it was winter. As we crossed the Equator, we switched from summer to winter or winter to summer in a matter of moments.
